When you make a request, a router reads what you're asking for and what you're working on — your selected instrument, the current track, the project's vibe — and sends the job to the right specialists: a drum agent, a chord agent, an arrangement agent, agents that know each individual synth engine. They draw on a knowledge base of genre conventions, chord-movement rules, and arrangement blueprints to produce parts that actually fit the kind of track you're making.
The practical upshot: you can talk to it in plain language about music, and it responds with musical material placed correctly in your session — not a generic loop you have to reverse-engineer.
A realistic workflow with Airess
Here's how it slots into actually finishing something:
- Start a sketch. Ask Airess for a drum pattern and a chord progression in the style you're chasing. It lays them into the project as a beat and MIDI chords.
- Make it yours. Open the piano roll and revoice a chord; nudge a couple of drum hits off the grid so it breathes; swap the default kit for one you like better.
- Build it out. Ask for a bassline that locks to the kick, then play your own melody over the top — or have Airess suggest a counter-melody you then edit.
- Shape the sound. Tweak the synth presets it chose, add effects, set up sidechain in the mixer.
