Layers and masks, not a locked template
The cover looks right until you need to mask the subject out of its background — and the template tool has no mask, just a crop and a shrug.
Canvas is a full design surface, not a poster filler. Stack image, text, shape, path, adjustment, filter and 3D layers, group them, and set opacity with 16 blend modes. Mask anything into anything — a layer mask, a clip to the layer below, a clip to any shape. Masks and booleans as deep as anything in a browser — plus an animation timeline the pixel editors don’t have.

Chrome 3D titles without a 3D app
The blown-out metallic title every release wants is a half-day in a 3D program — for one word.
Set the title in 185 fonts across five families, then extrude it into real 3D with lighting — 36 materials including chrome, gold, rose-gold, glass, ice, velvet and neon. This is real WebGL geometry compositing with your layers and masks — it renders spinning turntables, not an AI picture of 3D text — and no other browser design editor has it.
